On Sunday April 21, 2024, the New Orleans Pelicans will travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder. The young and talented number one seed is projected to give the number eight team some trouble, but there is still hope for New Orleans.
Despite being the NBA’s youngest team, the Thunder took 2 of 3 from New Orleans in the regular season. However, the Pelicans hold the best road record in the league of 28-14 and they defeated the Thunder in Oklahoma City, 110-106 on November 1. In that victory for the Pels, it was C.J. McCollum who did most of the scoring and had a double-double, (29-11). Unfortunately for New Orleans, Zion Williamson will not be playing due to a left hamstring injury. For the Pelicans to win, they will have to keep OKC out of the paint and focus on their defensive assignments.
